You're Hearing a Scraping Sound

Both problems will affect the way your heater functions. However, if the motor mount works loose, you could lose function of your heater altogether. There's a Constant Thumping

A thumping sound is never a good sign, especially when it's coming from your heater. In most cases, a constant thumping sound is a sure sign that your blower wheel is out of balance. When that happens, the blower wheel will spin similar to how a washing machine spins when it's out of balance. The result will be a loud thumping sound while your heater is on. There's an Annoying Squeal in Your Ears
